We have a Crosman 2100 that we bought new about 40 years ago. It stopped pumping so following your video we replaced the valve and seals. Pumps and fires like new. Now the bb's are rolling out the barrel. Looking for advice on this one. Thank you.

Very helpful video. My hitch did not come with an instruction manual. This video guided me perfectly. I probably fared better with the video than I would have with the manual.

It seems that a lot of people are having a problem with the fluid product/insecticide tank leaking around the gasket and running down their back. The old style was designed much better. I had no Idea that this unit would distribute dry matter also. I replaced the gasket between the tank to no avail. I explored the internet for a remedy, no luck. It appears that the black plastic that is permanently attached to the bottom of the tank has bowed over time. I took the old gasket that didn't appear to be damaged and double stacked it with the new gasket and it slowed down the leaking considerably but not completely. I live in middle Georgia and I'm sure this machine has been left in the sun which probably attributed to the distortion of the mating face from the tank to the blower. I guess the next option would be to buy a new tank and keep it out of the sun.

@ghostses this series is outstanding. Would you like to do another one? ;) The 5.7 vortec in my 2000 express died / dieseled out in a little puff of smoke (emanating from the intake after) while just idling in the driveway the other day. I have never done a teardown or rebuild, and it is intimidating (and it is a snub nose van, to boot.. lift the body off the frame as step 1, lol). Would be a life achievement to tackle it tho.

    • @ghostses

Thanks but yeah, NO...lol. I'm not familiar with that van, but did do a van eons ago where I removed the engine from the sliding door access. I would look for other videos on how yours could be done. As far as the rebuild itself, if you have any type of mechanical aptitude, I honestly think you could do the job yourself coupled with the work of a machine shop. The main issues is getting it out and back in. Since it seems to be dead and useless, why not just give it a go? At this point, you can't make it worse. You could also look for a crate or reman engine and would only have to remove and replace yours. Either way, feedback with what you do- good or bad. Good luck and take care, G.

Every time i work on it I wish I could go back to 96/97 line up every GM engineer and kick them in the nuts. It is beyond my how they could f===up something so bad. Plastic crap, spider injection in the manifold, plastic distributor and leaks, I have never owned anything that leaks like a vortec. I just changed the power steering lines well that was a treat and what is a EVO and why do I need one? when the motor comes out there will be a lot of deleting EGR EVO, O2 sensors, cats, all the useless plug in hose fittings just to name a few. I did enjoy the series and with the care and time you took I had doubt it was going to run good work

Loved your video, and I will give this stuff a shot. I saw another lady do this as well, with the same stuff, and it works well. I try to look for realistic honest videos, and your fits the bill. ( no flash, just facts) It came down to 2 products, I believe will work, and that's the Maquiars wheel cleaner, and Goo Gone, which has very good reviews. I'll buy both and see what works better. Your video is great, and believable. Have a question for you ? that is what should I use on the bottom of cabinets, where cooking oil etc. was stored on paper or cardboard at the bottom of cabinets. I can lift it slightly at the beginning, but don't want to get stuck halfway thru the job. Paper almost looks glued to the bottom of the cabinet. I was thinking Goo Gone, or Krud Kutter, or yes, maybe even oven cleaner. Something that would attack the grease and oils ? That oven cleaner is powerful stuff, and I've used it on many ovens. Stings. I doubt Oven cleaner would harm wood, it is powerful, but fumes, and stings hands. I'm a property owner like you, and took over the family home, and trying to get it into shape to put it up for sale. The bottom of "some" cupboards and under the sink, could be tough, but if you use the right stuff, some jobs can be easy. Thanks for this vid.

If you've seen another person using the same stuff, they got it from me and are trying to copy. I would love to have the link so I could watch it. The Goo Gone might work, but I can assure you- the product I outlined here will do well. But you have to make sure it won't hurt the cabinets or finish. Do NOT use Oven cleaner on the cabinets- period. It can remove the finish. Try this to saturate the paper or whatever is there, then try to lift it off. Be sure to rinse thoroughly. Goo Gone has its place, but pound for pound, this is way cheaper. Let us know how it works out, and provide as much detail as you can. Good luck and take care, G.

Andy, now this is why I LOVE the internet. I've never even seen that button on my meter, let alone would know what it was for. I just tried pressing it with my probes touching and it went to zero. Awesome stuff. Thanks for the tip! Good luck and take care, G.
